Know your why?
Many times, those undergoing demanding or difficult situations do not have a strong why. However, knowing the why can make a huge difference. As example, consider two young soldiers are undergoing tough endurance training in the army. The one who knows his why is better able to persevere through the difficulties and challenges. He will not give up at the earliest sign of pain. This soldier will push through the challenging training. Because he knows that it may one day make a life-or-death difference when he is in a war situation. Similarly, in study, knowing his why will motivate the student to put in extra effort to master a difficult topic.
Studying Smarter and Not Harder
Studying is more than the acquisition of specific knowledge to pass exams. It is learning how to learn and acquiring skills like thinking, mindset and discipline. These are the skills that will help the student to succeed both in academically and when he transitions to the working world.
